Zomato Gold Subscription is back: Online food delivery platform Zomato is constantly trying to give a tough competition to its biggest rival Swiggy in the Indian market. In line with this, now the company has relaunched one of its old services in India.
Yes! We are talking about the Zomato Gold subscription service, which after being discontinued in 2021, is now back in India. You probably guessed it right, this is the same Zomato Gold loyalty program, which was earlier known as Pro Plus Membership.
In fact, this is the fourth time the company has launched such a loyalty program.
Why is the new Zomato Gold subscription special?
Let’s start with its price. The company has made Zomato Gold subscription available at ₹149 for an initial three months. However, the company has not yet clarified how much the annual fee will be for this subscription.
First, let us make it clear that Zomato Gold is now available to all users across the country, and as an introductory offer, the company is offering its Zomato Pro members free Gold subscription for three months till April 25.
Talk about the benefits of buying this subscription like free delivery offer on all orders above ₹199 (within 10 km), ₹100 coupon on delayed orders and VIP access services will be available during peak hours.
Along with this, Gold Plan subscribers will enjoy various benefits and discounts on dining including up to 40% discount when visiting restaurants for dinner.
Zomato has discontinued its 10-minute delivery service
Interestingly, the relaunch of this subscription comes at a time when the Gurugram-based company has decided to discontinue its 10-minute delivery service, as per media reports just a few days ago.
Earlier in 2019 as well, Zomato discontinued its Infinity Dining service. It is said to have more than 20,000 restaurant partners across the country such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Goa, Pune, Gurgaon and Vadodara.
