Remove the smartphone cover

Clean the phone with cloth or tissue paper

Clean the water accumulated on the phone as soon as possible with a cloth or tissue paper. Make sure that this water does not get inside the charging point or SIM slot. Remember not to rub the phone too much. Apart from this, the smartphone should not be shaken in water. This can cause water to reach inside the device.

Do not charge a wet phone

Don’t make the mistake of keeping your smartphone charging if it isn’t completely dry. This may damage your phone. Apple advises that the smartphone should not be charged for at least 5 hours in such situations.

Do not dry the phone with a hair dryer

Using a hair dryer can increase your difficulty in the smartphone drying process. Heat reaching the inside of a wet phone can damage its electronic components.

Remove moisture from smartphone with rice

Since dry rice absorbs moisture, you can use it to dry your phone. First wrap the phone in tissue paper. Then put the phone in the rice packet. After that wait at least 2 days to remove the phone. Note that you don’t have to turn on the smartphone during this.
