Abdul Basit, a brilliant middle-order batsman from Kerala, was bought by Rajasthan Royals during the IPL 2023 mini-auction for his original price of Rs 20 lakh. Please mention that Vasit made his debut for Kerala in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy this year under the captaincy of Sanju Samson.

He performed brilliantly in this competition. Due to which Sanju Samson was so impressed that he invited Basit himself to Rajasthan. Now Basit will soon be seen making his IPL debut under the leadership of Sanju.

Dad drives a bus

24-year-old Abdul Basit’s journey to the IPL has not been easy at all. He has worked hard to reach this position. At the same time, his father worked as a bus driver in the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation. He is a driver.

Abdul was so worried and restless about the IPL 2023 auction that he left home after the auction started. Notably, when he returned home, the entire family welcomed him with cakes. Basit’s father was on duty at that time due to which he could not attend the cake cutting ceremony.
