India’s World Championship medalist B Sai Praneeth suffered a defeat in the qualifying round of the Indonesia Masters Super 500 badminton tournament.

Indian shuttlers Lakshya Sen and Saina Nehwal scored reverse victories to enter the second round of the men’s and women’s singles events respectively at the Indonesia Masters Super 500 tournament on Wednesday. (PTI)

    In his opening match of the tournament, Sen put in a brilliant performance to beat Japan's Kodai Naraoka 21-12 21-11.  The new season, however, did not start well for Sen as he suffered early exits from the Malaysia and India Open in the last two weeks.  (PTI)

Saina, who reached the second round of the India Open, advanced to the pre-quarterfinals with a 21-15 17-21 21-15 win over Chinese Taipei's Pai Yu Po.  Former world number one Kidambi Srikanth once again lost the lead and lost the match.  He lost 10-21 22-24 in 39 minutes.  (PTI)
