The Congress party in Gujarat has been making it clear that it has no connection with the Aam Aadmi Party. He is not with you now, nor will he go forward. In fact, in the past, former Congress president and former Union minister Bharat Singh Solanki had said that the Congress would have no objection if the Aam Aadmi Party gave its support. But he added that he said this in a personal capacity and not the opinion of the Congress. But after that successive clarifications were given by the Congress. Many Congress leaders also criticized Solanki and said that he was the state president during the last election and the Congress could not win the election due to the defeat of 15 candidates selected by him.
Congress has made it clear that it has no association with AAP. In fact, Congress is worried about a repeat of Delhi’s history. The Congress also won eight seats in Delhi in 2013, but the formation of the government in support of the AAP resulted in the Congress falling to zero in the 2015 elections and remaining at zero ever since. Congress feels that core votes of Congress can also go towards you if it shows closeness with you. So the Congress leaders are refusing to coordinate. But the Aam Aadmi Party has maintained a strategic silence on the matter. Arvind Kejriwal was asked at an event by a media group whether he would side with the Congress if necessary, Kejriwal evaded the answer. He said, now say good luck, so that you alone can form the government. This is how he indicated coordination with Congress. Now Congress has to respond.
