BJP will change the president in Karnataka

Assembly elections are due in Karnataka in May next year and it is almost certain that Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will remain in office. A few days ago the green signal was received from the top leadership of the party. However, it seems that state president Nalin Kumar will replace Katel. They do not suit BJP’s electoral strategy. He was inactive for the past few days. He was not feeling well and took a leave of absence from the party until November 15 for surgery. Due to this, he did not even attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s program in Karnataka last week.

According to informed sources of BJP, the decision of the state president may be taken this month. However, Nalin Kumar Katil’s three-year term ended in August. He replaced BS Yeddyurappa as President and Yeddyurappa became Chief Minister. The party then created a balance between Lingayats and OBCs. Instead of Yeddyurappa, Bommai from the Lingayat community has become the chief minister, while the BJP is considering a leader from the OBC community to replace Katil. It is said that with the consent of Yeddyurappa, the party can be led by a new face in Karnataka. Which is unlikely to be repeated by any of the past presidents of the party like Yeddyurappa, Prahlad Joshi, Eshwarappa, Sadananda Gowda etc.
