Bangalore: BJP MLA from Karnataka Madal Virupakshappa He got anticipatory bail from the High Court in the corruption case. He was then given a warm welcome in his hometown Davangere. In fact, his son was caught while accepting a bribe of 40 lakhs. Four other people have been arrested along with him. After that MLA Was missing for 5 days.

Now the MLA has come forward after getting bail in this incident. At that time, a huge crowd gathered around him. Loud slogans were raised as the workers walked with their cars. Virupaksappa was in an open car. He also waved at the people. Firecrackers are also thrown at this time.

Madal Virupaksappa was the prime accused in the Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited (KSDL) contract scam. His son Prashant Madal was caught while taking bribe on his behalf. Lokayukta police arrested Prashant on March 2 for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 40 lakh in the KSDL office. Prashant is Chief Accounts Officer, Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board. After his son’s arrest, BJP MLA from Channagiri Virupaksappa resigned as KSDL president.

While granting conditional bail, the court directed the MLA to appear before the investigating officer in the case within 48 hours of receiving a copy of the order. The court also directed Virupakpappa not to influence witnesses while on bail. The hearing of the application has been adjourned till March 17.

The alleged scam related to the supply of chemicals to KSDL, for which a bribe of Rs 81 lakh was demanded. After Prashant’s arrest, the Lokayukta police conducted an investigation at the house and office of the Madal family, where Rs 8.23 ​​crore in cash was recovered.
