Gold Smuggling Case Kerala: Air India cabin crew arrested at Kochi airport Police said, he used to smuggle one and a half kg of gold. The customs department got intelligence about this, after which the officials of the department have already penalized the fielding at the airport. Customs received information that a cabin crew named Shafi was smuggling gold to India in the flats of Bahrain-Kozhikore-Kochi.
According to an agency report, Shafi wrapped the gold around his wrist and covered it with his shirt sleeve. His plan was to cross the Green Channel this way. However, he was detained and is now being interrogated by the officer. The news agency reported that Shafi, a resident of Wanad, was arrested from the Kochi airport. 1,487 grams of gold was wrapped around his wrist.

The custom is investigating whether there is any involvement of a big smuggler in it

6.8 kg gold seized at Chennai airport
Recently, such an incident has come to light at the Chennai airport in Tamil Nadu. Two passengers arrived here from Singapore, from whom 6.8 kg gold was recovered. Reports say that it is worth an estimated Rs 3.32 crore. According to information provided by Customs, the duo had arrived in Chennai from Singapore on Air India flights AI-347 and 6E-52.
