New Delhi: Chhattisgarh Its chief minister Bhupesh Baghel Friday Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with. During this time he discussed many issues. During the meeting, CM Baghel urged PM Modi to complete the census soon. Along with this, GST compensation, coal royalty, G-20 and other issues were discussed.

Speaking to the media after meeting the Prime Minister, Baghel said he urged PM Modi to complete the counting soon. He said, ‘After 2011 there is a problem in the selection of beneficiaries due to non-availability of census. Many deserving people are being deprived of availing the benefits of the scheme. A letter was also given to the Prime Minister in this regard earlier.

Baghel made this demand in front of Prime Minister Modi

According to a release issued by the State Information Department, the Chief Minister also raised the issue of GST compensation before the Prime Minister. He said that being a manufacturing state, Chhattisgarh is facing commercial tax revenue. He said that Rs 1375 crore of GST compensation from June 2022 till now is pending with the Central Government, which should be paid soon.

The statement said that the Chief Minister also requested the Prime Minister to release royalty of Rs 4170 crore received as additional cess from coal mines.

Baghel sought PM’s support for Metro

Baghel said that he has also sought cooperation from the Prime Minister to start light metro service from Nawa Raipur to Durg. The Chief Minister said, ‘The fourth meeting of the Permanent Finance Working Group of G-20 is going to be held in Chhattisgarh in September. The preparation was discussed with the Prime Minister. Baghel said that he has assured the Prime Minister to provide world class arrangements for the guests of G20.

He said, ‘During the discussion on millet (coarse grain) mission in the last meeting, the prime minister suggested to start a millet cafe in Raipur. I told the Prime Minister that following this, bajra cafes have been launched in Raipur and other cities of Chhattisgarh. (provide language)
