Nagpur: Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Anurag Tagore He said in an event in Nagpur on Sunday that he will not tolerate abuse in the name of creativity. He said the government is serious about the allegations of increase in objectionable and obscene content on OTT platforms. The minister said, if any change is required in this regard, we will consider it. He said that freedom was given for creativity on these platforms. Not for obscenity and obscenity.

The minister also said that action will be taken if anyone disobeys the rules in the name of creativity. Abuse and rudeness will not be tolerated at any cost. The government will not back down if required to take necessary measures.

Complaints should be addressed by the producer

The minister said that in the process going on so far, the producer has to remove those complaints at the first level. 90-92% of complaints are removed by changing their own. The association then redresses the grievance at its level. In which most of the complaints also go away. Then when the complaint comes at the government level, strict action is taken according to the rules that are also in the departmental committee.

Do not give space to media for anti-national news

The minister said that complaints have increased faster than before. The department is looking at the matter very seriously. He said, even if we have to make some changes in this regard, we will take it seriously. At the same time, the minister urged the media not to give space to anti-national news. He said that the media should be wary of those who are robbing the unity of the country. Anurag’s statement is seen as a response to Rahul Gandhi’s Cambridge speech.
