India International Trade Fair is underway at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. This time, apart from big brands, companies, government ministries, a person from Punjab, who runs a very small business, has also set up a stall at the trade fair. They sell shoes. Mahendra Pal, a trade fair visitor from Patiala in Punjab, used to sell women’s footwear at his home. He has been doing this for 15 years. Now with the help of government’s National Small Industries Corporation i.e. NSIC they are selling their products in trade fairs. He said that it was absolutely free for him to come here. They did not have to pay any money for this.
