To speed up train manufacturing, Indian Railways has signed MoUs with Tata Steel on several projects. In this new train, Tata Steel will now manufacture seats from first class AC to three tier coaches. The tender for construction of Vande Bharat Express train coaches at LHB platform has also been awarded by Railways to Tata Steel. Along with this, the panel, window and rail structure will be ready.
145 crores to set up seats
Indian Railways has ordered Tata Steel to manufacture parts for Vande Bharat rakes. The value of this tender is around Rs 145 crore. This work should be completed within one year. Tata Steel has received orders to fit 22 trains of Vande Bharat Express. After receiving this bulk order, the company started working on behalf of the company. In this context, Tata Steel Vice President Debashish Bhattacharya said that the seats of the Bande Bharat train have been specially designed. which can rotate up to 180 degrees. Airport like facilities are also provided in these trains. Tata’s stake in railways is also steadily increasing. Tata Steel has also appointed several officers to coordinate with Railways. Tata Steel has also got work on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad corridor.
