Share Buyback Rules: The stock market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India ie (SEBI) has implemented auction, valuation and quantity restrictions for companies doing share buybacks through the stock exchange route.
Rules of Share Buyback: Stock market regulator SEBI has started cracking down on new upcoming IPOs keeping in mind the interests of investors and has also tightened share buyback rules for companies. In the last 2 months, SEBI has returned around half a dozen applications for IPOs. It also includes applications from companies like OYO and Oravel Stays. SEBI on Wednesday issued new rules on buybacks.
