At the same time, the metals sector also closed with limited gains. However, the indicators of all other sectors remained in the red mark. Index of media sector fell by 2 percent, information technology sector, healthcare and pharma sector by more than one percent. On the other hand, buying was registered in midcap stocks in the broad market today. Apart from the Nifty and Smallcaps falling, the Midcap 50 closed around half a percent higher.
