Sensex falls over 400 points, Nifty closes below 17900 on weakness

The highest growth was recorded in the automobile and fuel sectors. However, growth in both sectors was less than one percent. On the other hand, information technology sector, healthcare and pharma sector fell by more than one percent.

The stock market saw a fall in the transaction on Thursday. In today’s trade, Sensex and Nifty closed with declines of more than half a percent. At the end of trading, where Nifty touched below the key level of 17900. At the same time, Sensex closed below 60 thousand. IT and Pharma sectors fell during trading. For now, investors have become wary of Fitch’s fears of a slowdown in the domestic economy and a widening trade deficit. Sensex closed down 413 points at 59934 today. On the other hand, the Nifty fell 126 points to 17877. The market started to rise today, although the Sensex fell below 60,000 in the first half hour. The Sensex remained below this level till the end of trading. The biggest gains on the NSE were registered in the auto and energy sectors. However, growth in both sectors was less than one percent. At the same time, the metals sector also closed with limited gains. However, the indicators of all other sectors remained in the red mark. Index of media sector fell by 2 percent, information technology sector, healthcare and pharma sector by more than one percent. On the other hand, buying was registered in midcap stocks in the broad market today. Apart from the Nifty and Smallcaps falling, the Midcap 50 closed around half a percent higher.
