Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL) on Thursday announced the launch of its popular brand Campa. It is the FMCG arm and wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Retail Ventures Limited (RRVL). The Campa portfolio will initially include Campa Cola, Campa Lemon and Campa Orange. The company informed this information in a press release.

What are the company’s plans?

This brand was launched under the company’s new strategy. The company wants to promote brands developed in India, which not only have great heritage Rather, those that have a deep connection with Indian consumers because of their special taste and aroma.

The company said that by introducing Campa in a new avatar, they want to inspire generations of consumers to embrace this iconic brand. Through this they want to bring new enthusiasm to the beverage segment. Family elders will have fond memories of the original camp, the statement said. And they will remember things related to the brand. At the same time, young customers will love its new taste. The company also said that with the rapidly changing Indian market, they are very keen to bring Campa back.

The company’s business continues to grow

With this launch, RCPL has strengthened its FMCG portfolio. These include heritage brands such as Socio Hazuri to Lotus Chocolates, Sri Lanka’s largest biscuit brand Maliban as well as in-house brands such as Independence and Good Life.

RRVL achieved a consolidated turnover of Rs 199,704 crore and a net profit of Rs 7,055 crore in the year ended 31 March 2022. The Camper acquisition is Reliance’s focus on growing its FMCG business and acquiring its own private label and legacy popular and regional brands. At the same time, industry experts say Reliance is in the final stages of talks with Namkin, a popular soap, edible oil and brand in the south.
