The government has given an ultimatum

More than 10,000 complaints in this regard have reached the Central and State Governments. The government has also given an ultimatum to everyone, including e-commerce companies that manufacture and sell the device, but the situation remains the same.
The government has taken strict action against the manufacture and sale of seat belt alarm stoppers. Based on the opinion of experts, the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has decided to implement the rule imposing a fine of Rs one lakh to Rs 10 lakh on those who manufacture and sell stoppers.
Notably, there has been no improvement despite warnings in September last year. Five e-commerce companies are openly selling this stopper for Rs 150 to Rs 1000. It also has major companies like Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal. In view of road accidents, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways is also strict about seat belt alarm stoppers, whose opinion the CCPA has taken while formulating the rule.
The central government is in favor of banning all types of seat belt beep alarm stoppers. But according to experts, people in India are not aware of following road safety rules. Regularly they are bitten out. As soon as they reach Noida from Delhi, seat belts are removed and other safety rules are put on hold. Where it can cause serious injury or even death in an accident.
